Year End Placings/USEF
Once more, as a result of the dedication of Janne Rumbough, we are thrilled to report that we have been listed as 8th out of more than 2,000 competitors in the USEF Year End reports the 8th most successful breeder of dressage horses in the USA.
This makes us the highest pointed P.R.E.in the past year - and actually, we have not been beaten yet!! Thanks of course are to Janne Rumbough with "JUNIOR" and "AFILADO" and also sincere thanks to Erin Lohec for her support of NOBLE GF, whose success in the dressage field has also helped to consolidate our position. All these three horses are, of course, sired by GAUCHO III who has always been the highest pointed P.R.E. dressage sire.
It was with great pleasure that I was awarded the Best Breeder Award by the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association National Show in Fort Worth this past year. I am truly honored, and only wish Vaughan Smith had been able to be there to help us all celebrate!

USEF LEADING BREEDER!
We are proud to report that Lanys Kaye-Eddie (Gremlan Farms) has been ranked by USEF (United States Equestrian Federation) in the leading breeder category, at 11th place out of nearly 420 other breeders of dressage horses in the US. This ranking is in the dressage division, and covers all breeds in dressage competion in 2007.
The points accumulated that led to this honor come from GORRON GF and JR (Majestuoso) ridden and trained so successfully, consistantly and competitively by Janne Rumbough of Wellington, Florida, and SOLITRON GF riden and trained by his owner Toni Bealessio in California and Nevada.
Thank you to these owners for their dedication to dressage and to furthering the careers and recognition of these horses.

WELCOME MELÓDICO RB II
Congratulations to Andaurora Ranch in California for their acquisition of the absolutely extraordinary moving young stallion from Yeguada Valle Miñor S.L. This young stallion is of "closed line- Cerrado en Bocado" lineage - and he is an extreme example of the grace, beauty and movement of that line. He has proved to have a wonderful temperament, and although he lost weight on the trip, has set about returning himself to his Spanish glory! What a thrill to have a horse like this in this country.

I black colt, 3 greys, 2 bay fillies, one black and 1 grey. They have arrived in great shape but are busy putting on a few pounds after their harrowing trip. "HORSE INTERNATIONAL - Sport and Breeding Magazine ISSUE #5, 2005
This beautiful magazine, printed in Holland, publishes the official news for the FEI, US Equestrian Federation, USET, and the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) amongst others. On Page 8 of the KWPN section there is a listing of the USEF - CURRENT LEADING SIRES - as of 5/26/05. This listing ranks the top 15 Jumping sires, and the top 15 Dressage sires, and the NUMBER 5 on the Dressage Sire list is NAVARRE GF!!
He is certainly the only PRE there and this is absolutely INCREDIBLE company!
This honor is brought about particularly by the successes of his son GORRON GF in the 2004/2005 season. (Specific year end placings for GORRON will be listed soon - as the tables are still changing as final scores come in).
Congratulations to Janne Rumbough for precipitating this success for NAVARRE GF and congratulations for Mike and Connie Connelly of Manor Hill Farm who own this splendidly successful sire.
The successes of GORRON GF have resulted in Lanys Kaye-Eddie of Gremlan Farms being named as the USEF #2 LEADING BREEDER (DRESSAGE) in the US, out of 154 breeders currently ranked for this period - this is truly an enormous step for the Spanish Horse nationally and it has been reported and noted internationally.
The lesson in this for those of us who have PRE dressage prospects is:

ONGOING TRIUMPHS FOR GORRON GF
High Point Win at Palm Beach Derby, with Robert Dover
In September 2004, GORRON GF left for Florida to his new owner, Janne Rumbough, by plane. He arrived just in time to show at the Georgia International Horse Park Regional Show in Atlanta, and won his first 4th level test.
At the 121st National Horse Show in Florida in December, he entered 4 classes, 3rd and 4th level and won them all.
In January 2005, at the Derby Kick-Off Show, he won his 4th level class – at Wellington Dressage USEF Qualifying Competiton in February, he won a first and a 2nd – at the Florida Dressage Classic in Wellington, another 1st at 3rd level.
His first USEF Freestyle attempt he won 2nd, and how has qualifying scores for the Regional Championship for Freestyle.
At the Palm Beach Derby CDI*** in March, 2005, he won 1st again at 3rd level, and was the High Score PRE Horse in the Open Show with a score of 67.111%, winning the Foundation Trophy.
So up until this day, he has won 11 first place ribbons in less than 6 months of competition, with scores in the upper 60%’s. We are very proud of him.
GORRON has a fantastic relationship with his owner/rider, Janne Rumbough, who is thrilled with his talent, trainability and sensible attitude. Janne is an incredibly subtle and effective rider and she has been very outgoing in her congratulations to Willy Arts and Sandy Savage for the wonderfully correct start that has enabled this young stallion to shine. Thank you all but especially we thank Janne for her care and belief in this horse, he will go as far as he can go with her and continue to please his many fans in Florida who come to see him show!!!
Tuesday, March 22, 2005
On Sunday March 20th, Richard and Linda Nickerson came down from Park City, Utah to meet and pick up their latest pride and joy. They are now the proud owners of the first “qualified” stallion in the United States, the beautiful and talented DOMINANTE XXIX.
This absolutely exquisite five year old stallion is one of a select few Spanish Stallions that has been approved by the Tribunal in Spain to achieve the additional status afforded to the exceptional individuals of the breed. He was approved in Sabadell in 2004. This 16.2 hand, dark bay stallion exhibits extraordinary conformation and great physical beauty, but he shows great potential for dressage- and his new owners intend to let him go as far as it is possible in this new career. As a “qualified” stallion, DOMINANTE XXIX is permitted a number of artificial insemination breedings, and his offspring will work towards providing “Elite” status for their special sire. He was bred by Yeguada Villa Mazzara near Barcelona, representing the Escalera line on both sides of his pedigree and on his dam’s side, the magic of LEBRIJANO III appears . It was a thrill to be involved with bringing this wonderful horse to these shores, and it was a great pleasure to hand him over to his incredibly enthusiastic new owners. We wish them all well for the future and are thrilled to report that DOMINANTE is in training for his dressage career with the very talented trainer, Sandy Savage, in Wilton, California. We expect to see his name in lights very soon.

A GREAT LOSS
It is with an enormous sense of sadness that we regretfully report the loss of *TRIUNFADOR XVIII, on behalf of his wonderful trainer and devoted and loving owner, Janne Rumbough. This young horse, only 10 years old, had performed more than 50 Grand Prix tests in the competitive Florida circuit, and had won many many awards from USEF and USDA during his short 3 years in the USA. TRIUNFADOR XVIII was a Grand Ambassador for the P.R.E. horse being the first Spanish horse invited to participate in the Windsor invitational Grand Prix Freestyle competition in 2004 and he will be missed very much by his fans, his owner and rider Janne Rumbough as well as us at Gremlan Farms who have followed his career devotedly and with pride. This horse has made a huge impact for the Spanish Horse in dressage, and we wish him peace , comfort and eternally green pastures.

Young Riders Championship
We are very proud to congratulate Shannon Camphaug of Saskatchewan, Canada on qualifying through her FEI scores to represent the Canada West Dressage Team to compete in the Young Rider Championships of North America, held in late July in Quebec. Shannon is the daughter of Shawna, for whom we at Gremlan Farms imported a specially talented young stallion from Hacienda Santa Lucia in Mexico. His name is LEPANTO – the son of the Spanish Champion, GENIL, and a wonderful mare named TORTILILLA. The story of how this horse and rider have overcome almost insurmountable obstacles is a testament to bravery on both of their parts, and also dedication on the part of Shawna, the owner of the horse. To have achieved this level of competitiveness is the achievement of a lifetime, and apparently LEPANTO was extremely well regarded and attracted a great deal of attention!!! Congratulations to all involved, and thanks for your efforts to bring the PRE into the limelight.
